Abu Sankoh takes over Real Mack FC.
Former head coach of mighty Blackpool, East End Lions, and FC. Kallon, Abu Sankoh (short Abu) has been appointed as the head coach of the Real Mack Football Club. Speaking at their training pitch at Angola Town, Coach Sankoh said he's excited to move to Real Mack and determined to take the club to the Sierra Leone Premier League. He said he's happy to join the Real Mack Empire and very impressed with what he has seen so far.
Coach Sankoh revealed that in a meeting he had with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Real Mack Mahmoud Macky, the plan and direction the owner shared with him led to his decision to take up the job.
“My focus now is how to help Real Mack moved to the Premier League as for far too long this club has been trying to secure a spot in the elite league. I am optimistic that I will deliver that dream to the CEO and fans of the club.”
Coach Abu Sankoh was the head coach of mighty Blackpool in the 2018/19 Premier League season before he was sacked. When asked why he was relieved of his job at Blackpool, coach Sankoh said he has no knowledge of why he was sacked and it came to him as surprised. “I played four matches in the league I won two, drew one and lost one before my sacking at Blackpool, only the executive would reveal why I was sacked.”
The veteran and experienced coach disclosed that he has put behind the mighty Blackpool dismissal and is now focus on his new job at Real Mack. “I am very happy at Real Mack. Nothing will move me from this club at the moment. I love the project here I want to focus and move them to the Premier League next season. That is my dream.” Coach Abu Sankoh was offered two years contract at Real Mack FC which will run up to 2022.
Real Mack is a Division-one Football Club that qualified for the 2018/19 SLFA Premier League play-off. Real Mack Football Club is currently participating in the ongoing Western Area football association (WAFA) FNB division-one competition. Real Mack has played one and drew.
