University of Ghana test their VAR

The University Ghana has tested their newly acquired video assistant (VAR) referee cameras in a match between university of Ghana and UMAT. 

 Football made in Ghana Editor, Tophic Abdul Kadri  Sienu,  posted on his Facebook wall; "five cameras plus a drone were used to cover the match. That was the first time Ghana football  used the VAR in a match".

Mr, Abdul said many  will agree that the University of Ghana has raised the bar for media coverage of the Game.

Abdul ended up by saying that; "you could have mistaken them for a FIFA VAR Team." 


This is the first time a West African Country reported the introduction of VAR in a match.


Ghana's university of  technology has set the bar high for other Countries in the West Africa region's.
