New PL board release league date

On Friday 15th November, 2019 in a meeting held at the football association Secretariat the new premier league board has  announced the date of 4th December ,2019  for the start of the new season.  All 14  PL clubs received  ten balls from the board.
The league will  be preceded by a curtain raiser between champions East End Lions and league runners-up FC Kallon, in a match billed on the model of the English premier league. 
The newly appointed  premier league board chairman is lawyer Alliue Vandi and the only female in the  board is  Barrister  and renowned radio broadcaster Nicky Spencer Coker.  
Fourteen teams  from across the Country will participate in this season's premier competition.
 BO Rangers, the big money spenders have continued their spending and rebuilding process. The management of the club are hopeful they can win the league with the huge money already spent on players and facilities. 
East End Lions the Champions have completed the signing of their top goal scorer in the last league  Musa Noah Kamara (Musa Tombo) and signed some exciting and  promising players.

The 2019 premier league Runners up FC. Kallon  are finding it hard to retain their players with some of their big names already  leaving the club. 

Will FC. Kallon Maintain their place or go down the pecking order in the new league season?

FC. Johansen owned by the president of the Sierra Leone football association Isha Johansen,  will be participating in this seasons  league after her club pulled  out of Lawyer Emmanuel Saffa  PL,  citing FIFA and CAF didn't recognized the league board. 
Football fans are anxious  to see the league start.
Above five billion leones was generated from the last premier league.
Government supported  the last premier  league head by celebrated lawyer Emmanuel Saffa Abdulia  with three billion five hundred million Leones.

The 2018/19 season saw Lions crowned champions of the league with FC. Kallon securing the runners up spot.

Sierra Leone head Coach names 25 foreign-based players.

Lack of home football league in Sierra Leone, has not stopped the head coach of Leone Stars John Keister, from including 10 home-based talents in his 35 man provisional squad, ahead of the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) fixtures with Ethiopia, Ghana and Kenya. Sierra Leone won her first AFCON match against Kenya in Freetown, which was a big boost to kick-start the tight fixtures in September and October. Leone Stars head Coach John Kiester names 23 Man Squad for the AFCON qualifier against the 'Walyas' of Ethiopia

After naming a preliminary Squad of 35 Players the Head Coach of Leone Stars John Keister has cut the squad down to Twenty three (23) players ahead of the crucial Match against the ‘Walyas’. Despite no effective league playing in the country, there were places in the squad for young FC Johansen Goalkeeper Mohamed N Kamara, and defender Abu Suma former player for FC Johansen. UK trio based Alhaji Sesay who plays for Bristol City in England, Osman Kakay of Queens Park Rangers and Amadou Bakayoko of Coventry City were also named in the squad alongside long time absentee Sheka Fofanah who plays his international football for Al Nasr in the Oman professional elite league.
