SLFA President begs journalists.
By Muctar Koroma.
The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Isha Johansen in a press conference held at Home Suite Hotel in Aberdeen Freetown pled on journalists to help rebrand the Sierra Leone Football Association image. She said a lot of problems the association had had in the past is all down to misunderstanding and that is one thing that is stagnant and common even for the love of the game.
"During matches, we all put our difference aside and go watch matches it because we love the game" said Madam Johansen.
The SLFA president revealed that during the last two days, they had lots of soul-searching with the UEFA assist team. They as the executive committee had a very intensive discussion on where they think the Sierra Leone Football Association went wrong.
Madam Isha Johansen went on tell the sport journalists that they know where they have gone wrong as a football association, and they are ready to address that going forward. She called on journalists to change their mindsets because they all have the answer to make the football better and stronger.
Cracking jokes with sport journalists at the press conference, SLFA president Isha Johansen said she saw one or two journalists around who are showing love and some media houses pulling the 'dagger' already, but she sees them coming in peace. She called on journalists to put aside their differences and come onboard to help push the Sierra Leone football forward.
"The football house is always opened to all of you, with this UEFA assists programme we are going to do a lot of assists and collaboration with you the media".
Good rapour. We all need each other to push the game we love
