By Muctar Koroma.
The General Manager of FC. Kallon, Tunde Scott has confirmed that they will take action against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of East End Tigers, Victor Lewis. This assertion was made as a result of rumors on social media that they have lost the case at the players' status committee. He said they haven’t received any ruling from the panel that Baimba Sesay has been given the clearance to play for FC. Johansen.
FC. Kallon's Tunde Scott disclosed that they have no issues with the president of the Sierra Leone Football Association(SLFA)- Isha Johansen whose team is in contention to secure the services of the last season premier league goal machine - Baimba Sesay.
“I was part of the panel that the players’ status committee of the SLFA invited to investigate the matter. Baimba Sesay was also part of the people interviewed by the panel. Baimba, made it emphatically clear to the panel that he wants to play for FC.Kallon” said Tunda Scot
The Cavalie General Manager revealed that the CEO of East End Tigers Victor Lewis collected fifteen million Leones (Le15,000,000) which was part-payment of One hundred million Leones (Le100,000,000) agreed for the sale of the player to FC.Kallon.
He said they have document which shows that Baimba Sesay should start training with them. Scott said as far as they are concerned as a club, Baimba is a player of FC.Kallon and it is only documents that FC. Johansen has in their posession.
Baimba Sesay was part of FC. Kallon's unveiling of their new football jersey for the league season even though they had not received any decision from the players’ status committee.
The players' status committee panel is headed by the vice-president (two) of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Alie Mohamed Kargbo AKA Alie Commner.
When contacted on the phone for his reaction, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of East End Tigers said they started doing business with FC.Kallon for the sale of Baimba Sesay to them but the player in question asked them to stop and informed them that he wanted a move to FC. Johansen which he did in writing.
Lewis further said that he is not going to comment on rumors making rounds on social media regarding the players’ status committee ruling until he has received it officially.
In 2018/19 Salone premier League, Baimba was one of the leading goal scorers where he netted twelve (12) goals out of twenty-four (24) matches played by East End Tigers.
He was part of Sierra Leone home-based team that participated in the West Africa Football Union (WAFA) Championship that took place in Senegal.
