Leone Stars Team Manager Donate Trophies and Medals for the National School League Competition

The commencement of the National School League after four years absence has been making the headlines all across the various regions as school going pupils are very enthusiastic to support their various Schools in the competition.

Christian Dauda a popular sport philanthropist and also the substantive team manager of Leone Stars has added more excitement to the National School league by donating giant trophies to all the various regions where the School league competition is ongoing.

The Team manager of Leone Stars supported the competition with trophies for the Football and Volleyball category for both male and female category. Tm Christian Dauda who is renowned for supporting youth football emphasized he has always been passionate about giving young people the opportunity to enjoy sports, and giving support to the school league will always be a continuous process in subsequent competitions.

The donation package comprises of 100 balls, 30 volleyballs, 110 Bronze, 110 silver and 110 Gold Medals, plus Nine (9) Trophies for the various winners across the regions.

He emphasized he is a big fan of the national school league competition and the competition is a move in the right direction and thank His Excellency the President Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio and the new direction for putting smile in the faces on School going pupils with the National School League Competition.

Christian Dauda has been a regular face in the national school league competition and have been visiting the various venues where the school league competition is ongoing giving messages of tolerance among pupils.

During the presentation the Head of Physical Health Education at the Ministry of basic and primary education Sahid conteh said they are delighted to receive the donation and such a donation has added more excitement to the National School League competition.

He called on other sport loving philanthropist to offer more support to the national school league competition playing across the country.

Sierra Leone head Coach names 25 foreign-based players.

Lack of home football league in Sierra Leone, has not stopped the head coach of Leone Stars John Keister, from including 10 home-based talents in his 35 man provisional squad, ahead of the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) fixtures with Ethiopia, Ghana and Kenya. Sierra Leone won her first AFCON match against Kenya in Freetown, which was a big boost to kick-start the tight fixtures in September and October. Leone Stars head Coach John Kiester names 23 Man Squad for the AFCON qualifier against the 'Walyas' of Ethiopia

After naming a preliminary Squad of 35 Players the Head Coach of Leone Stars John Keister has cut the squad down to Twenty three (23) players ahead of the crucial Match against the ‘Walyas’. Despite no effective league playing in the country, there were places in the squad for young FC Johansen Goalkeeper Mohamed N Kamara, and defender Abu Suma former player for FC Johansen. UK trio based Alhaji Sesay who plays for Bristol City in England, Osman Kakay of Queens Park Rangers and Amadou Bakayoko of Coventry City were also named in the squad alongside long time absentee Sheka Fofanah who plays his international football for Al Nasr in the Oman professional elite league.
