The commencement of the National School League after four years absence has been making the headlines all across the various regions as school going pupils are very enthusiastic to support their various Schools in the competition. Christian Dauda a popular sport philanthropist and also the substantive team manager of Leone Stars has added more excitement to the National School league by donating giant trophies to all the various regions where the School league competition is ongoing. The eight edition of the Ernest Bai Koroma trophy will kick start in the northern part of Sierra Leone on the 4th of November 2018 at the Wusum playing filed in Makeni. This year’s former President Koroma's trophy will feature 14 teams in the northern region and a representative club from the East, Kono district.  As a way to support and empower the clubs taking part in the competition Seed monies were distributed to all fourteen clubs on October 31, 2018 in Makeni.
