The acting Chairman of the Western area football association has relieved the Secretary general of the Western area football association for insubordination

In a letter dated 17th August 2018 the acting chairman of the western area football association Pastor Philip Buck said  he acted based on the powers giving to him as enshrined in the western area football association statues article 18(6) to appoint or dismiss the secretary general if the need arises.

The acting Chairman Pastor Buck said he took the action of relieving Kasho Holland Cole  of his position because he want to succeed in running football in the western area of Freetown.

He accused the Sacked WAFA general Secretary of causing the association to be in a stagnated state and that he derailed the smooth running of the western area football association.

The acting Chairman of WAFA said he has been deprived access to the WAFA office for the executive committee,    their usual executive meeting and the continuous closure of the said office without notifying the EXCO for such action has become a challenge.

“We were made to recognized that all the Furniture Purchased by the Sierra Leone football association which they have been query for explicit auditing is to be accounted for”.

Responding  to being relieve of duty, the   sacked   secretary general Kasho Holland Cole said   the acting chairman action to discharge him as secretary general does not have the legal mandate to do so except the executive committee based on their WAFA constitution.

“As far the western area football association is concern we are not going to play any division 1 and 2 league on till the president of the Sierra Leone football association Madam Isha Johansen take it members to football congress and account for her stewardship”
