Meet One of Sierra Leone Passionate Ex Footballer Ahmed Sasso
Ahmed Sasso was born in Freetown at the Dr. Lahai Taylor Hospital in Brookfield's Western Area, and hails from a very passionate football family.
Sasso attended the Murray Deen Preparatory School & then later proceeded to the St. Edward's Secondary School May Park Kingtom.
He started his professional football career at age 16. During his footballing days he was gifted with so much talent which makes him very smart to play among big name players in the country during the 1980s.
Ahmad Sasso played for top clubs like Old Edwardians, Eastern Lions, Tikonko Fisheries, and many more.
Despite not been able to represent Leone Stars at Senior level Ahmad Sasso has been very passionate about promoting sports, He is among the few Ex-footballers in Sierra Leone that has always been giving back by organizing football matches for Ex Footballers and Veterans Unite all over the country. He is renowned for bringing Ex-Players together with the support of Ali Colisee Abdallah, Edwin Michael, & Mohamed Kallon.
This has inculcate unity among Old Football Players who played for different clubs across the country.
He has always been engaging in transforming the lives of young footballers in the USA where he started his coaching career as a youth developmental coach working with Boy's and Girl's in the States.
His knowledge and abilities to empower the grassroot have made him gain a lot of success around grassroot football in the US.
His recent activity in football was the call they made for football to regain it past glory and allow the game to play effectively all across the country.
They made this call at the YSC Complex where he teamed up with Sierra Leone Football Icon and Former Leone Stars Captain Mohamed Kallon, Coach Ajinah Sesay, Former Old Edwardians Player Allieu Abdallah Colisee, Former Leone Stars Captain Abu Bakarr Tostao and many more.
As the Sierra Leone Football Family is still in crisis, the call has been all around for Ex Footballers to take the lead for the rebirth of Football in the Country.
